I choose Chile because I would really like to visit the country because it seems so interesting since it is the longest country in the world. I choose Chile because apparently you can ski in the summer which is awesome since Auckland doesn't snow and I have never got the chance to ski.
Hey Mia
ReplyDeleteGreat choice of country about the Summer Learning Journey. In your blogpost, there is a sentence which doesn't make sense ( Well to me at least). Please fix it but great reason about choosing Chile as the country you will be learning about.
Hello Mia, make sure you double check your work before you publish it because you have written the Winter Learning Journey instead of the Summer Learning Journey. You have put some pretty good reasons why you chose Chile.
ReplyDeleteHi Mia!
ReplyDeleteWelcome back to the Summer Learning Journey blogging programme. I am so happy that you've joined us again!!
I am also really intrigued to see that you have chosen to go to Chile. It is a fascinating country - very long and very unique. I have a close friend who is living in Chile with her family while she works at a university in Santiago. I will let her know that you are blogging about Chile and I am sure that she will want to read your posts and comment. She'll be able to teach us both a lot about Chile as we make our way through the summer holiday! We can ask her if she has ever gone skiing in Santiago. I'm pretty sure that she has...
Keep up the great work, Mia :)
Until next time,
Rachel
Kia ora Mia,
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for joining the Summer Learning Journey programme. I'm excited to follow your blogs taking us around Chile over the next four weeks.
My name is Dan and I'm working alongside Rachel and Mark over the summer. I'm lucky enough to be able to read your blogs and I'll be leaving comments as I go. If you want to reply to my comments then please do! I'd love to know what you think, or if you have any questions, feel free to ask away.
I agree with Rachel, Chile is a fascinating country. There's so much I don't know about it either so we'll both be learning together over your Summer Learning Journey!
It's always good to want to learn more and to keep an open mind about different countries and cultures. I enjoyed reading your reasons for choosing Chile, I didn't know it was the longest country in the world? Great research!
Thanks for starting your blogs Mia, I'm looking forward to reading them. I think I'll be learning so much from you over the next four weeks :-)
Cheers,
Dan.
Morena Mia,
ReplyDeleteMy name is Tania and I am a Manaiakalani Outreach Facilitator - I work in lots of different schools with teachers and learners who, like you, are using chromebooks for their learning and blogs to share their learning. I have been emailing with Rachel and she has told me all about The Summer Learning Journey. You are the first blog I have visited and found someone who is learning all about Chile. I look forward to following your journey as you share more about what you learn. Keep up the great researching, reading, writing, creating and sharing. Enjoy your summer holiday.

Hi Mia. My name is Nina, and I'm from New Zealand but I am living in Chile for 3 years. If you want I can answer questions about living in Chile from my perspective. I speak quite a lot of Spanish so if you want I can teach you a few words.
ReplyDeleteHi Nina,
DeleteIt's wonderful to hear from you! Thank you so much for posting a comment all the way from Chile. We would love to learn some new words. Could you please teach us how to say, "Good morning, my name is...", "How are you doing today?" and "Great work on your blogging. Keep it up!"
Thanks, Nina! I hope that you and your family had a wonderful Christmas holiday and a great new years!
Cheers, Rachel
