Quick Writes Narrative

Once.not twice, but once upon a time.In the land where East meets West,and North meets South,which is nowhere , everywhere and here , there lived a gentleman who was rich. He had everything he could imagine. He had cars, servants, mansion, and a deep as swimming pool. The reason why he was rich was because of his family business. But there was one thing, he had no friends.Every single day he would walk at of his house alone with nobody to talk to.

About two weeks ago in writing we did a quick writes activity.We did this with a partner my partner was Charlize. So we would rotate around the classroom, it would have a piece of paper on that piece of paper it would have a story starter.With your partner you would have 1 minute to plan and talk it out with your partner about the story starter and have 5 minutes to write 6 sentences. Our learning intention was to understand how our choice of words create the mood of the story.

Magic Magician 3x and 8x timetables

Today in Maths time I was working really hard on my timetables. I was testing myself on this site called Magic Magician.I was working on my 3 and 8 times tables I think I done really good considering I am really bad at my 8x timetables. My goal is to get more confident  in all my timetables 1-12.

Narrative Plan Mind Map

Today my writing group's main focus was to plan a narrative story. We practiced it by making a narrative plan with a picture prompt.The planning structure we used was "TOPES" ( Title,Orientation,Explain and Solution. For this task I worked with Charlize. I picked one of the picture prompt story plan and made it into a mind map.I think mind map made it easier because it put each topic into different parts.

How to be a scientist movie

This term  our topic is "Science" .For the last 4 weeks we have been doing science experiments like, Mentos and Coke, Oobleck,Baking Soda ( Bicarbonate of soda ) and Vinegar and Sherbet.  This is the movie that group 3 created on "How to be a scientist".  Our group decided to choose Oobleck as our experiment. The steps and methods were explained. Our movie was edited using iMovie to add the title and effects. 

Word Clines

This week I made word clines. Since it was a short week I made three. The three words I made were Happy,Sad,Scared and Mad.I used interesting words in  each word cline. The word that I learnt was Melancholy I wasn't sure of the word so I searched it up on google and read the meaning in  dictionaries  which was another word for sad.

PBS Flag Vote

This week I have been working on this DLO about our PBS flag vote I made a graph on google sheets and put the results on the bar graph.  When I looked at the results I was really shocked because most of the junior school voted for the new flag and the majority senior school voted for the current flag. I think the juniors picked the new flag because of the layout of the new flag because from their view it looks colorful.

Spelling Games Auto

Today we got set a task to learn about our spelling properly  my teacher ( Miss anderson) ,the word was auto we wrote all the auto- words in our book. To show our learning we had to play a game and screenshot our results. I learnt today that auto actually means self or same.
