Anne Frank - Home Learning

This term our home learning is based on a character or person . This week the person we got to learn about is Anne Frank which you have probably  heard. Anne frank is a Jewish girl, back then if you were Jewish you would get killed. This young girl had a diary which has over 25 million copies in different languages she would record what it was like to be hiding. This girl is one of many heroes. For this task I worked with 

Mary Seacole

This week for our home learning we had to study a person called " Mary Seacole". If you don't know her she set up a hotel named "British Hotel" during the Crimean war  which was in 1853 and was finished in 1856. She treated wounded soldiers and the ones that  were sick. She is one of many leaders in the world. She even put her life on the line for others that she didn't even know.

Kate Sheppard

This week for home learning we got to learn about "Kate Sheppard". If you don't know who Kate is she was the person the that let women vote  in New Zealand because back in the olden days women weren't allowed to vote. You may have noticed her on the New Zealand 10 note. I think she has inspired me that girls can do just as much as boys.

The Statue Of Liberty Home Learning

This week our home learning we had to study about was "The Statue Of Liberty". Since this was a collaborative challenge I worked with Charlize. While I was working on this I learnt a lot of things about it like The Statue Of Liberty was a sign to immigrants that it  was a sign of independence and peace.Also you could go inside the statue.  I really wish one day I get to go and visit The Statue Of Liberty.  

The Palace Of Bangkok Home Learning

This week our home learning we got to travel to was  "The Palace of Bangkok" .I worked with Mahdia in this DLO.I learnt a lot of things about "The Palace Of Bangkok" . Did you know that there is a special rule in order to enter the palace was to where appropriate clothing  for both genders like for girls and boys don't wear shorts,no singlets,t-shirts,dresses,skirts. Suggested clothing was probably long skirts long pants long sleeve T-shirt clothing like that.   

Mosque of Herat Home Learning

Last week our we got to travel to " Mosque Of Herat"  in our home learning. The " Mosque Of Herat" is located in Afghanistan.I learnt a lot about this while working on this I learnt that they built it because they wanted to make the place bigger for other  muslims to worship their god.I worked with Nesi in this task.  

Leaning Tower of Pisa Home Learning

This week our home learning we got to learn about was the leaning Tower of Pisa which is located in Italy.I worked with Mishaan with this activity we did the main task and the Challenge.I learnt a lot of things that I never knew about ,I didn't know that the tower was actually tilted 5.5 degrees but got reduced to 3.97 degrees by the builders that made it less tilted.

Mona Lisa Home Learning

 This week me and Sajiha were working on our home learning this week we had to find out about the Mona Lisa.If you don't know what the "Mona Lisa" it is painting that has been around for many many years.We learnt a lot about the Mona Lisa.We learnt different things about the painting like ,did you know that the Mona Lisa is a spelling error it is suppose to be Monna Lisa which in Italian means "Madonna" as in "My Lady".

Sydney Opera House

This week our home learning  was based on the city Sydney.Our Home Learning requires a partner to work with ( Zahra )  and challenges to complete.I added pictures to go with this activity. Did you know from Auckland to Sydney  its 2158.56 km away.

Home learning reading

This is me reading my book  up north at my Nana's  house  on the trampoline with peace and Quiet.I was reading Thea Sisters and the Journey to Atlantis.The author of this book is Thea Stilton.This is a  adventure book and this is a fiction book.
